As the costs of UAV's and Laser Scanners continue to drop, more and more surveyors are beginning to look at using 3D point clouds to supplement their conventional survey operations. However, while data acquisition becomes progressively easier, actually 'doing' something with the resulting data continues to be a challenge.
In this webinar, we review a number of issues surveyors face when dealing with massive 3D point clouds such as massive data sets, unknown data quality and difficulties in creating reliable DEM's. These issues are illustrated with real-life examples, and workflow solutions based on Solv3D's 3DPointLogic workflow are demonstrated.
